Chaos in northeastern Nigeria, in the heartland of territory controlled by Islamic militants. Four bombs hit the city of Maiduguri, capital of Borno, a state where Boko Haram is at their strongest, killing around 50 people and injuring dozens more. These bombings come just weeks after militants tried to take the city by force -- coveting it as the capital of a new Islamic State they are determined to carve out of Nigeria
