American soldier killed, others wounded in Kabul attacks

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Officials say that an American soldier has been killed and several others have been wounded in a series of attacks Friday in Afghanistan's capital. A wave of attacks rocked Kabul, leaving more than 40 people dead and more than 300 injured. That's the worst toll on civilians Kabul in one day in several years.
