Russian European Food Sanctions 2015: Give Banned Cheese, Meat To The Poor, Communist Lawmakers Say

Russian lawmakers from the country's Communist faction introduced a bill Thursday to redistribute food confiscated under Russia's embargo of Western food to the needy and to conflict zones. The embargo, in retaliation for Western sanctions for the country's involvement in the Ukraine crisis, has led to hundreds of tons of Western food products to be destroyed after a decree from Russian President Vladimir Putin last month.
