Amazon.com, Inc. Faces Criticism From Authors United Group For Functioning As "Monopoly" In Book Markets

The Authors United group has reportedly approached the US Department of Justice to request an inquiry into Amazon.com, Inc.'s (NASDAQ:AMZN) "unprecedented power" in the book market. According to the group leader, Douglas Preston, the retail giant's influence has previously been used wrongly to mainly promote its own platform and work as a "monopoly."
