Man on flight to Dublin dies after allegedly trying to bite a fellow passenger

A 24-year-old man died onboard an Aer Lingus flight headed to Dublin, Irish police said. About halfway through the Sunday night flight from Lisbon, the man became agitated, RTE reports, and attempted to bite a fellow passenger. He was restrained, then became unwell and lost consciousness. The captain diverted the plane to Cork due to a "medical emergency," and the man was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
