We used an infrared camera to show how the iPhone X's FaceID actually works The iPhone X has a new way to unlock your phone. It's called Face ID. When it recognizes your face, it unlocks. Inside the notch at the top is the TrueDepth camera and sensors. This camera projects over 30,000 dots onto your face. The dots are invisible to your eyes.
