Netflix CEO Reed Hastings' pay rose to $24.4 million last year, amid a period of great growth for the company

Getty Netflix CEO Reed Hastings saw his pay rise five percent to $24.4 million in 2017, the company disclosed in a regulatory filing on Monday. Netflix's chief creative officer, Ted Sarandos, also saw his total compensation package rise 18.5 percent from$18.9 million in 2016 to$22.4 million last year.
