Futures for the Nasdaq-100 index gain ground early Wednesday, boosted by Apple Inc.'s earnings-driven jump in premarket trading. The Dow and S&P 500 look set for muted moves, however, as traders brace for a Fed statement and an ADP private-hiring report.
