Illinois Democrats tap U.S. Rep. Robin Kelly of Matteson to succeed Michael Madigan as state party chair

Illinois Democratic leaders on Wednesday night selected U.S. Rep. Robin Kelly of Matteson as their new state party chairman and the successor to embattled former House Speaker Michael Madigan, who held the post for 32 years.
