Russia bombs maternity ward in southern Ukraine as Putin scales up attacks

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Ukrainian president, said the carnage at the Mariupol maternity ward was the product of a direct aerial strike carried out by the Russians, and that children were caught under the wreckage.
